Shake Her Up is a Black, woman-owned mobile bartending company serving Chicago and surrounding suburbs. We bring a luxury bartending experience directly to your event — complete with professional bartenders, quality service, and unforgettable drinks.
No. In compliance with Illinois law, Shake Her Up does not supply or sell liquor. Clients must provide all alcohol for their event. However, we’ll provide a detailed shopping list or recommended quantities based on your menu and guest count.
Each of our tiered packages includes a professional bartender ($65/hr, per Bartender), setup and cleanup, disposable cups, napkins, and straws. Higher tiers include mixers, garnishes, ice, and signature cocktails. Every package comes with custom signage to match your event aesthetic.
Yes. A 40% retainer fee is required to secure your event date. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before your event. Corporate clients may qualify for NET 30 terms.
We proudly serve Chicago and surrounding suburbs. A $25 base travel fee applies for events within 15 miles of ZIP 60619, plus $0.75 per mile for additional distance.
Absolutely. Shake Her Up is BASSET and ServSafe certified, and fully insured. This ensures both safety and professionalism for you and your guests.
We recommend booking 4–6 weeks in advance, especially for weekends and holidays. Last-minute bookings may be accepted if availability allows.
Yes! We love creating custom cocktails and mocktails that reflect your theme, color scheme, or personal taste. Each drink is crafted for presentation and flavor that fits your event’s vibe.
Yes. We offer portable bar rentals for $100 and optional event add-ons like signage, banners, and balloon columns to elevate your setup.
Yes, we do travel for select out-of-town events. Additional travel and lodging fees may apply depending on distance.
We’re happy to extend service if possible. Overtime is billed at an additional $25 per hour, per bartender. Please note that this depends on event schedule and staff availability.
Your retainer fee is non-refundable unless Shake Her Up cancels the booking. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event may still be charged in full. We also are not liable for cancellations due to acts of God (rain, snow, power outages, etc.).
